Leadership/Association Development

In July 2008, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), the Society of Pediatric Nursing, and the American Nurses Association released a new pediatric nursing scope and standards entitled Pediatric Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, a resource used to guide, define, and direct pediatric nursing practice. By developing a unified document, the organizations sought to reduce confusion and create a new and improved document that is relevant for all pediatric nursing professionals.

This book sets the standards for all pediatric nurses and helps all those practicing in pediatric nursing to speak with one voice. A complimentary copy was mailed to each NAPNAP member. Additional copies may be purchased at the NAPNAP online store at www.napnap.org.
