Leadership
NAPNAP is celebrating its 35th year of service to the pediatric nursing profession. A new anniversary logo that commemorates NAPNAP’s 35 years of existence will be used on letterhead, envelopes, and appropriate promotional items during this celebration year. In honor of the momentous occasion, NAPNAP is embarking on a “35 dollars for 35 years” campaign, asking that all members donate $1 for each year of NAPNAP’s existence to the NAPNAP Foundation. For more information or to make a donation, please contact the National Office at www.napnap.org or telephone (856) 857-9700; members only: (877) 662-7627.
NAPNAP continues to develop the 2007-2010 Strategic Direction Summary, Themes, and Goals. Executive Board members focused on refining the document at the Summer Board meeting held in Philadelphia, PA, in June 2007. Board members also worked together to update NAPNAP’s statement on Retail-Based Health Clinics.
Advocacy
Visit www.napnap.org for the latest edition of Inside the Beltway E-News. This electronic newsletter was developed in a collaborative effort by the Health Policy Committee, NAPNAP’s Washington representatives, and the National Office to bring members the most updated information on legislation and health policy affecting infants, children, adolescents, and their families. This E-News replaces the member update that has been in the PNP Newsletter during the past several years. The Inside the Beltway E-News is distributed on a quarterly basis and sent via e-mail to all NAPNAP members who have an e-mail address on file.
If you would like to subscribe to NAPNAP’s legislative listserver, please send an e-mail message to legislative@list.napnap.org. Subscribing to this list will enable you to receive important updates and action alerts regarding legislation affecting children and PNP practice.
